Classes, Followers - busy month

Hello all!
First I'd like to say THANK YOU! I have 100 followers now! That's so exciting to me! I've never had that many people follow my blogs before so It's nice to actually have an audience! LOL!

Second, Phew! I've got one BUSY month going on!
My Copic Class starts tomorrow! There is still time to register! I'm a little nervous, but then again... I'm not. I've had such a good response to my blog, and my many tutorials out there I'm sure I can make it worthwhile for the students.

Those of you who registered for the class keep an eye on your email!
If you aren't already a member of the CDAC (Crafters digital art centre) Then please go ahead and register an account there. http://priscillastyles.ning.com/
The class will be hosted in a private group in that social network. It's free to register.
You will be invited to that class Via Email, so please make sure to keep an eye out for your invite. They will be sent out tomorrow; Check your spam folders as well, just in case.

I am also teaching a second class through my work. I'm going to be teaching Acrylic Gel transfers In North Vancouver. If you're a card maker this is a really neat and unique way to add some dimension and texture to a card! Check out the information on the class here.

After these classes are all done, I'm going to try to get my natural life rhythm back! If my work schedule can be more consistent that would be much easier but I wont hold my breath on that one, or I'll turn blue and die.
I'm going to go back to working on my Comics consistently, and occasionally throwing out a free bee to you guys, though they won't be with the regularity they were in the past.

I'm going to go rummage for some food, and play my Wii a little bit before diving into the colouring and making some more examples for my class!

Online copic Classes

It's Confirmed!
In early 2011 I will be starting Online Copic marker classes on the CDAC. I will strive to make them universally applicable to all purposes not just illustration or crafting. They will be entertaining, stimulating and informative, and I think they're a pretty unique angle for markers.
For the most part classes will be affordable, 1 month long, have at least 1 assignment, free digital images, and a give away at the end of the class. you will receive a completion badge for your blog or website as well.

if you think you'll be interested in the classes please feel free to fill out this short form to be informed when enrolment begins.
You will not be emailed for anything but Copic classes hosted by myself.

Please help me by spreading the word to your friends for me, I'd really appreciate it!
I'll be cross posting this to all my blogs, so I apologize if anyone watches more than one blog, you'll be bombarded.

Monday Free-bee - Robot

Hello Loyal followers!
I wanted to let you know that I do actually plan on having Copic classes in the new year. I will announce them here, class sizes will be limited. I'm working on the details, and lesson plans and working out what would make a good course for everyone. If you'd like to be informed when I am ready to start taking applications for the class please give me your email here. You will be the first people informed about the class, and will get first dibs if you choose to attend the class.
My goal for the class is to have a mix of recorded lessons, assignments, and "class time" online where you can go from very beginner to a confident user of Markers. They will be a month long and will be hosted on the CDAC.
I'll also be hosting a colouring challenge in December on the CDAC so go join my group so you'll see it all happen!

Okay okay, on with the freebee, but first, last weeks free bee was a little goldfish! HappyCrafter made a cute card of him. Check it out.

And now this weeks freebee is a christmas themed one again!
Now Available in the shop. If you have a problem finding it, please email me, or comment. I'll get it to you. Shop crashed and burned a while back, and I've not re added them all up yet!

He's got a robo stocking for his robo sugar plums or robo coal. Get him while you can.

On that note, get and use my free bee's while you can. I've been pretty lazy about it so far, but you never know when they'll suddenly be gone as free bees!

Enjoy.

Call for a designer or 2

Hello,
I was thinking, I need someone to be producing cute stuff from my free-bee's to promote my Digi's, but I don't need a full design team just yet I don't think.
So I'm looking for 1 or 2 people to do a project every week (or once every 2 weeks if it's 2 people) to use my weekly Free-Bee in a project.
The amount of work involved would depend on if I take on 1 or 2 people.
I am looking for someone with the time to do a project once a week (or once every 2 weeks if I take on 2) using my Digistamps. This person would have to have a good proficiency in Copic Markers, and possibly even be Copic certified. A good knowledge of blogging, and the internet in general is a great asset, as well as a good design sense. This is a low demand position so don't feel pressure!

What you'd need to do as a designer
  • Use my Weekly Free-bee to create a project coloured with copic markers.
    • The image would be reposted on my blog along with the following weeks free-bee. so I release the Free-bee on Monday, I'd need your completed project by Saturday to schedule my blog post.
  • Post that project on your blog, then email me the link to it on a deadline (6 days).
    • In your post you must link to my blog, as well as describe the Copic techniques and colours you used. Using my Tutorials and linking to those is extra special!
  • Grant me permission to repost that image on my blog. (of course, LOL)
  • Link to my blog on a journal widget with a badge (I'll make) stating you're my designer.
The Rewards
As my designer you would get the following rewards for the duration of time you'd be designing for me (if applicable)
  • a pack of 25 custom buttons of your own design mailed to you (see information here - this is a great promotional tool for you as you can put your logo on them and give them away) As well as some prints, and trinkets we make for our shop. Call it a gift pack ;)
  • A free Digistamp for each project you create (aside from my Free-Bee - you would be able to choose from my shop every week you post - more information on that once I choose the people/person.)
  • You will be promoted on my blog widget as my designer which in hand promotes via all my social networks - Twitter, facebook, CDAC, tumblr, deviantART and ...a myriad of groups, LOL.
I am trying to think of more rewards - the application will have a survey portion to suggest more rewards if you think this isn't enough. Please keep in mind, I don't run a retail store (just my online shop) so actual product from a store is not something I have access to at cost or anything... so ya... I cant like... provide Copic markers or anything like that, unfortunately.

I don't have a deadline for how long you'd be on my design team...Yet.

How to apply
To apply, simply fill out this cute little form I made! Lets be honest - this is the first time I've had a call for designers so I don't know how long I'd take to choose an applicant. But I'd like to do this fairly quickly so I'll be accepting applications until November 8th. Then I will just say I'll pick an applicant as soon as I can from that date.
It won't hurt your chances if you join my group on CDAC and follow my blog as well! LOL

Blog Hop is over

Yay! that was pretty awesome!
SO I'm going to be picking a winner from my own blog comments who will receive the following:
  • 1 digistamp of a cute hermit crab
  • 1 comic printed on marker card stock to colour in with copics
  • Tik cell charm (colour will be randomly chosen)
  • 1 sketch card illustration
  • Random goodies

The winner will be announced over at the CDAC on Friday October 8th. I'll post a link to that once it becomes available! So excite!
So did you see my new background on here? I thought I needed something a little more personal than the generic one from blogger. So ya, I made it from my little model sheet for my comic. Hee Hee!

Anyway, Just wanted to share about the blog hop winner. I'm going to go run out for a bit and hopefully later post my christmas card design for my Staff Contest... If I ever Finish!

Side note: Most of you know, I'm not much of a crafter, I'm mainly an illustrator with an interest in the card making because of the close ties with Copics, and I enjoy making the Digital stamps. Can someone explain to me about the "design teams"? From what I gather it's people who make cards on a regular basis from your Digi stamps? Is that correct? What sort of Compensation do design team members get?  I'm curious! Thanks all!

Toodle Pip!
